They are listening to the primetime and eyes against duke I'm suit by the way podcast brought to you on the stand by your local less while tires and are doing the right thing since 1950 to you not cute. If you can find that time. And you can time the times didn't you actually yeah right time we're advise against is. Home what they'll all journalists and Al clubs. Think yeah. This is prime time to not like you. Know your source for the. Best and local regional and national sports. Here are Isaak Robin Jason singer Janet quit prime time I'm Jen ADP. CNN. Horrendous save our prime time and that scares you with Michael lynch is we fill in for the boys is they're on holiday vacate. Some picture today on Twitter rob went Saint Andrews. I did see that is meant. Cool he took himself a picture on the bridge. And then meat ball took a picture on the bridge. And now cliff looks awesome yeah I imagine I mean I see a lot of pictures of it but rob I should do some good justice on and on. Think it was on Twitter right that if I think SR on Twitter yeah I think that's our perspective but. Due to some justice to by taking those pictures it looks just incredible yeah weird weird to think give him grief about. You know if he's gonna see any or play any golf Foley's over there. I didn't even realize of course there's up to see Enders of course that's bucket list having sued to that you when he was playing football over there and oh I've heard some of those stories he said he he. Actually hit the hotel or something what can spare a thought hawk eye on the ball I think Dallas there could be wrong that's way you're not a lot of play there definitely think we can use their relative. Well we were just chatting about coaches on the hot seat much how many may be open next year and a wanna come to think about some of the candidates that could fill in this situation and I've found that. An article on fox sports stock on the kind of goes through that some interesting choices they have. Fur and not necessarily. What team they should coach but who. They're picking I think nobody's. Nobody is new to the theory that Josh McDaniels to get another crack I'm we've heard a ton of either Mike or Kyle Shanahan may be both in LA Ahmet some interesting ones was like mcdaniels to the colts. OK to kind of helping Andrew Luck and cavities two it help what kind of continue his growth in the quarter Brack yeah. Wind and regardless Bosnia defense of guys in their defense sucks. Well they've had injuries beyond belief her whole secondary got hurt at one point but. Yeah he mentioned some of those names and some of them make sense to me but what McConnell leapt out. Just in general from reading about the so the last couple days is. Here we are same old same old old guard goes back and get jobs again now did you know Mike Shanahan retire in topless retire. Twice no I tee up fired from Jacksonville didn't Jon Gruden retire cameo greens different 'cause he's younger but these are guys who are. In some cases Gregg coaches adding Tom Coughlin was a great coach definitely but the giants were very good in his last few years there and he was getting older he's very very old for head coach if he does come back. I think mcdaniels might be better option yeah he he failed in Denver when he was there as a head coach but his ego is learned under bella check in these. He's kind of turned himself. Back around a lot of work and for college jobs this year is no rumors about so. I don't know I'm I'm I'm fine with hiring the old guard if they're still good I would. Consider Jon Gruden that because he didn't retire. Viscerally as bad coach we just into it just wasn't working out for him in Tampa and in Oakland but. The judge I feel like we see this so much meat we saw with with Jeff Fisher. Getting the job with the rams. And I'm in terms of for so long games tension in these guys are fine. But the NFL's changing a lot of them are stuck in their ways in the out I'm not saying that that's gonna happen with Tom Coughlin if he does come back for the jaguars but. We see names like that you start going. When they get a kind of freshen this all up and we've seen it with coordinator giving jobs like tumbles dimension for the jets and your mission mcdaniels but I feel like we're still kind of stuck in the good old boys club and there's not that many other options we looked. Yeah and even on this list I'm looking Adam but potential guys sure there'll coordinators. But all of them have had a head coaching job and failed miserably miserably like mcdaniels like. On this list as Mike Shula and because of what he's stunning Carolina for the offense because last year they were a juggernaut he made him an MVP and they've got to run game in the ten past they've looked. To be balanced. I mean this year is an exception but they look to be a balanced offense. And but back has been a head coach before he was terrible. That's true. Do you the other name has always taught Caylee like someone's really gonna give taught daily cracked after Howell. Terrible Kansas City went. Yeah and how weird his relationship wasn't Ben Roethlisberger you know how weird it still seems to be there like friends but they don't like each other it's its weird. I just. If it was mean I know we've seen this not work out and other cases just Bradley is one. I would try to strike big with the guy like. Bruce airing its Yahoo! was a coordinator who gets the job in. Great hitters honest terrible this year but is it really gave head coach turned Arizona graduate based all or in the and its US the last couple years. And that's the kind of guy that I think you're looking for a strike being in hue Jackson's know when I know the browns have warned him this year but at a hue Jackson's a really good coach mean I think he can make that team dude and the browns have so many issues outside of just coaching being an issue. But I think he can if given enough time. Make did the browns a good team especially with how young the offense is going to be in the next few years exactly so when you see guys like Matt. That are doing great job as as coordinators. I don't if it was me I'm not going back for the return higher I'm not done. I'm going for a guy who looks to be ready to make that step. And if I am in any of those guys that are firing their coaches most of those teams. Have a little bit of time to be patient it's not like they're in some win now mode and their coach was bats they fired him. Maybe the closest to being when now's the chargers because it got Philip Rivers near Kennedy ended views twilight as someone close yet the twilight of his career. Maybe that's more of a win now mode as you wanna. Get the most out of rivers while he still there because you never know the next time you're gonna get a quarterback who exactly but in general I feel like bash is kind of the way I would go well I wouldn't go for the retreads. I think an interesting thought I'd just been looking at this list is. Some for a team like maybe buffalo San Diego Cincinnati. The jets that have a lot of young that defense and tell it. The you don't want to necessarily. Spoil or maybe not maybe not the bad angles young but young and aura established defense of players Matt Patricia. And a New England they'll have a good until I mean if you got young defense of guys why not bring him in and help solidify. Those young kids before they learn bad habits I think Barack and that's not a retread that's actually giving. A a respected establish coordinator a shot at a head coaching gig. I agree that's another every image mcdaniels any any assistance that's under a good head coach. Hasn't have their shot yet all the mcdaniels has. I think is it is an option the need to look at just a guy a head coach that she respected it could be anybody I mean. GM's all have different opinions owners all different opinions of people say they respect but. If it's a head coach here that you think it's a really good head coach who might be grooming. A good coordinator under him to be similar to him. Then yup I think they'll be good hire the coaching tree logic you know if there's a guy out there that you like a lot you could say that organ did that loved Jim Harbaugh. He'll get really tired off of Jim Harbaugh is coaching tree and I give me a couple guys are coming from Harbaugh is coaching tree. That's great really tired just got hired an organ thoughts on saying yet. And that's that's the tree that you want you want all that kind of a solid coaching trees so maybe that's were I would look him in Matt's. Earned them a couple things come across on the fan takes on a 55305. Watch the McCarthy drum starting in of Green Bay loses the next C divisional games. I mean he's the start to gain steam at four to six I river of people call from McCarthy it was like you really unifier Mike McCarthy. Well I think it's because. He kind of sat there and said I don't really know what to tear broke open tennis seem a little bit lost about why they're playing so poorly but. Yeah I mean he gets fired guarantee he's getting one of those jobs it's opened here oh without a doubt he'll be the number one guy yeah I mean because. I don't think he's. A retread. Now you know what I mean home. You know and an idea here on the region thing here's another one I like on the fan takes on a 55 through five Bill Belichick might be the Al Leiter. But because of him and the fact that he failed in Cleveland and then became the greatest head coach ever is a reason to these teams to try to reach that maybe they feel. Like some guy didn't get a shot but true shot in the NFL. And now let's give me a chance I mean it worked for Pete Carroll yep that's good Carroll wasn't good in the NFL and then he showed up in which two super balls and one that that is a. Good point some in I guess there's arguments for both sides the in every situation I'm missing for me personally. That's now what I would do you might just. I would want to get a guy who I think could be. By if I'm the GM next Bill Belichick the guy who was so good. That our team is super successful wins divisions gets into the playoffs and then he's got a sticks around the whole time so. Could Debbie return of course it could be returned but that's not the way that I would look at and I think I think I'd look for. Yeah maybe that's a trap to some GM's falling too but my guy. The guy that I picked that I that I chose who I thought I was gonna be really did not someone else picked him didn't work out and I'm like I'll log of mother grew. I we see that in college owe so much you know team starts to struggle a little bit the new higher of the sexy hire or whatever didn't turn out so greats of the AD gets fired and in the new lady comes in and that's not my guy so he's gone. What one thing I always get in sit on the flip side this is where do where guys like. Gus Bradley gonna end up. He's not get as a defense or I know I know where or even like a lower position map. You know but that's that's what I'm curious about you know Tom Cable who I thought I had no business being fired in Oakland. When he was they had toast him an 88 as the best record they've had outside this season if I'm not mistaken and he gets fired and look what he's done in Seattle. I mean I know a lot of people hate. Babble hate those seats but Tom Cable I think for the most part is done pretty good work there yep and now I'm always Anderson in that aspect as well. I do wonder too about what that coach wants I mean you've just gone through hell and back in Jacksonville dealing with a bad teams and unrealistic expectations and granted patient owners were kind of iffy situation down there. You just wanna sit back and be a position coach again not even a coordinator just like Tom cable's the offensive line coach yeah discussed Bradley go MBS you know cornerback or secondary coach somewhere. If you wanna stay in the NFL maybe oh yeah I mean I think he would and I think anybody would hire him back as he proved to be very good defensive coordinator. And him. The vetting does make sense for him for sure we saw dug around Bremer I might think of him to use the search his coach but. Went to buffalo. Had two pretty good years ever got fired because of his relationship with team in the owners. He re services as the offensive line coach in Jacksonville. And now the interim head coach you know that's kind of where you fall today and kind of trying to build yourself back up again. And do you like this as a C out paying two we started Darrel bevel rumor. Yeah hired Daryl battles up for the essence any bagels job out there to spread that are around images can get a better path to look at our Ryder ordered that they would get. Mean Seattle is as far as coordinators that want kitten. Top head coaching offers. Should ideally get. Pretty good traction on OC Oprah sure yet Russell Wilson in the yet. You know peace committed to the run and that's yeah. No wolf you receivers except the ball well and I think you have Baldwin's the best to receiver in the NFL there he thinks is a one via. And hope that you get it running back that can fill Marshawn Lynch issues that you are confused about the best job offensively but. It's a quarterback if he had quarterback mean rather welcome to Seattle as a those seat and walk and Jackson those and those seen barely got a quarterback. You got a quarterback. Are we come back one of the greatest ever to play the game had a retirement ceremony on Sunday and believe modernize it went pretty well this is primetime with terrorism lynch on 1080 the fan. Running time where highs against duke guard insanity bills fans. Fourteen year of prime time. It's again Eminem vortex of what to watch because it's. For eighteen. Just for the bowl game on the clock when we talked about how bad it is bigger. That if I. Well 70 Memphis already in the was this the Boca Raton bowl. Is a re taller ripped home. Probably unit or passive poker time. Route to amend. I'm sure it's different based on where they're from just like everyone out used calls this Oregon. Oregon and Nevada Warshaw intend Washington many people in Washington call it worship the it really live there the whole life. What's wrong with you rebellion grew up actually Imelda. What he's our you grew up a Washington tonight I have lived almost everywhere in the say I've lived in the liked. Four corner ask of Washington and lives in I was born in Spokane to those eleven. Moved to Vancouver Orleans high school which was due in Pullman. Lived in Seattle for a little bit so you know yes and people who grew up there say Washington's yes definitely and it does not know that that's like Porsche and drier. Interest and at oral. But what you never heard somebody say or Litton. All yeah man. People seek coral it all the time that's like a hard all our that is the strangest thing I don't get it either man I don't get war she either. I guess I mean I guess I get that is like bashes some boys someone says the state from their weird inflection but you can twirl it. I don't know how might steal it I don't know how that is like a dialect thing figured out of the correlate yet where including the Tora it. And even NA abortion to visit W yeah yeah it's a TO is also an hour hole. Point what do they just stink at the I would that dot is actually our. They don't think it's a dialect thing I don't think it's it geography thing I think it says some people are Smart and some people are dumb. Could that's what I think it is that sorry it's almost up her son or maybe you're kinda stupid. If you say war shouldn't in worse sure clothes or pour lit each. We got to figure this out. Look at them here and just say I can fix this quarter net I used to say holy day I used to say draw in the drawer. That's how my parents who say they sabre and opened the draw. And I have forced myself. To say drawer will present a direct thumb when I say draw. I mean like. Like your drawers which pants there. Be sitting on cause there but I do that and it intentionally bunker that's like you know I need some clean draws I got no more clean bras and I've been trying to not say Florida. Like a true New Jersey and thank. God save Florida that was said Florida. Yes I'm trying to say Florida like perera but I would say Florida. Like a lot of people say that yet. Our weird. Gone I'm a Florida Florida State weird. Florida there. It's wrong this is incorrect it's my dialect from thinker he added late late Wisconsin but some people like Wisconsin Brett did the babble heads commercial yeah. He's from Wisconsin they had somebody amusing how bad babble head battle heads that's a great convergence. Yes oh and by the way add another let's say I heard yesterday at the point oh yes there is that a real thing. Boras because it's an insurance commercial rights real though well I think the problem is with all these insurance commercials these days you don't know if they're actually. Telling you something that's thriller just we terrible the most random commercial ever so now you should fire insurance policy I think balance real time. The target to babble head museum we text you type in Bobble head up Babel haven't you might include. You know some people I meet people all the time especially low work. That think I'm from the East Coast I think Evan East Coast accent what. Yeah it really yet I don't see it all and it's always people from Jersey New York area. They're like. From here. And I'm like yes I'm from here I'm born and raised I'm not from the East Coast neither are either of my parents. I'm really not well halogen guy's gonna say that you're not the first that's interesting because. Techsters you can prove me wrong if you like but outside of Florida. I don't think necessarily sound very much at a news coaster I think David very neutral accent right am I coming over here. Like many from the Bronx public new Yorker warm up you know I never talked about anyway yeah I was so I don't know it's like. You know more West Coast kid. You are you were born and raised in Los SE dude in war in jail if it more shouldn't have used him the other two to jail. At. Did Joseph brought it it it's not. Everything's was I don't understand that this. Once I don't you don't understand agreements no MI just aren't stopped. A sudden. There was a video online and several picked up amounts just notes. Did this is this is why I failed club our he said dude right there. William but I don't understand saw. Is so like a bay things. Such as what what took so. So we can't say what's up so we say so it's not. Mr. short for what's up. Well here we go unfit to excellent from Jersey was shocked to hear the wash and upbringing. Oh and UC creek. It's CR EE KER creek not creek yet. I have heard people say crypto now I think the creek thing is like that's a family passed them you know also roof and rough. I see roof and we'll say rough. Apollo on the roof like there's moss the my roof and then he climb up on the roof. Moody's syrup you know I don't know it might be might be a situational thing that makes no sense of the word. You say it's like you who know me and might be it politics thing now they think about it. I was climbing on my roof yesterday. I lost my shoe on the roof. No ma'am no way Mavis answer in May be so. And no that's what encryption but the I don't know dialects are strange things yet dialects are strange things that. I was born in Washington. And up from the East Coast Michael is from East Coast yet all right well on Sunday there was a cool thing going down in San Antonio as Tim Duncan retired. And MIT got a little bit audio from this right let's at the sub what happened here. This just from the ceremony here at a retirement the Jersey retirement ceremony in. He amber Gregg Popovich and Tony Parker and assorted other players and people were given speeches but he did too. And dom. You know two Americans never been known as mr. media is very kind of land and very very very close and invest in doesn't really say say much didn't do many interviews no toilet cleaner. Met all the notes were little humor. But these are a couple of clips so one of them is him at the end he actually was being pretty funny and just another one up about his team missiles are a ballot and into the funny when. I've heard from. Teammates. From the dazzle them with forever to guys that played a year or two with two. These jokers over there. So just an amazing response. And to some overwhelming. These guys. For what I meant to them. And it doesn't even aches and explain how much they meant to me because I got so much more from. You guys. From my teammates from these guys over here then. And they can explain that they got for me and I know that he deceived. It'll emotional right there yet downlink and many you know he just talked about his family and and the fans just kind of normal stuff that you are here but at the end. And I cracked a little jokes on a lot of bets that I had an Ortiz. I didn't retires he was people who. And I've seen more than thirty seconds. Let's turn spoke for like three minutes fiddled 235. Minute ceremony in three minutes of it was Tim Duncan speaks for so you know. He can't be shelved. Did thumb older white chose not to be. What do you mean all you can see so much more personality in those what you gotta Mitt or that clip there a missed three minute thing you clearly see personality there was a woman and she's not too well. We've always heard that. He's had personality behind the scenes right the united immigrant Popovich. Had a really interesting relationship where you know he was hard on Tim Duncan but they love each other more. Even more than my him being a coach again and they became friends so I mean this is a good Bill Belichick people sit behind the scenes he's also. This is timid about Chip Kelly behind the scenes he's a great dude to hang out around but. In front of the camera in front of the medium from a microphone mused with a different person for him Midas think it was his way of trying to be professional and trying to shut out all the noise. That you get as an athlete as a coach and work for him were crippled the spurs it was kind of a culture of the team right. Why do your jobs you know had to push forward indeed thank you really really good every single stink in here. In short form I mean. I'd do you think you would have respected Tim Duncan more if he was more like himself forward just the it's Tim Duncan he's great. I think it's is it Tim Duncan thing I mean I know I three peaking choosy about who I think. Are arrogant and who are entertainers but at it it's hard to it's hard to find a lot of the all time greats that I don't find entertaining. If that makes sense yeah. You know like I never thought Kobe was really a jerk and Saudi was. Extremely competitive. You'll enter. Even his teammates would say that about him who I forget who was it was one of those former teammates played what what was the first for the comes about I think of Kobe anyway. Able to pick a heck of a plane that's the first thing you thought of sending Kara. But their best being miss Patrick being picky choosy and yet. Bryce Harper's tour has Kobe is competitor I think it exactly what can I mean Tim Duncan. Feel like we just totally. Undervalued Tim Duncan a Wii is solid we never talked about how great he was a beloved team of all of the spurs know it. Tim Duncan is up there is is going to be one of the all time greats are not top five but somewhere in that topple whatever category you wanna put amend Tim Duncan's up there and. Florida is still years they know Dominic I was so you just say well we're prepping for the show I mean I was too I think Tim Duncan can be top final toll. I just don't think we've seen a whole lot of players of his caliber that consistent for that long I mean I hope season the right culture in the right organization. Along with some of the right teammates around him. But I think we look back on it means she kind of revolutionized the power for position yeah he did in because he should be a senator. And he played center for for a long time but when they had Robin Singh he shifted the power forward any had a really good jumper. Sure banked all the time but two points or two points when. Where is he was the big fundamental I mean he did everything correctly so I wish more people relate to media I do too but. I mean to be fair Tim Duncan was born a little bit too he was there was so steady that he was boring. And him that's why we overlooked him that's why we undervalued and a little bit and I'm glad that we're looking at him in a better life now that he's retired but. Now that he's retired I wish that I had. A personally respected him more in Washington Mora Matt Light when he was applying. We used to he was he was always there right Tim Duncan was the guy that you could rely and to be fair who play a certain way. In be selfless to be a great team player in. I'm just do everything that was needed of him. Because of that I was like okay cool to doctors there of course spurs have Tim Duncan Lucas but the spurs have him in and Parker Angel look at the Mildred good my Porsche I kind of appreciated the more. Yeah I think I remember him. More in the her I think I gave more appreciation in the early days and then as the middle days came around it was like have the spurs are good yet another title another title team as spurs they're in another Owens perjury and alone. And anything was that and when they lost to the seat. That year with the Ray Allen shot yet in game six and I was kinda like when he. These guys could get another ring and dad be really cool and it's going to the end of their career he had met and married and when did you find yourself. Rooting for him almost you know as a blazer fan. I'm not gonna be the first status are rooting for the spurs by any means especially after the Marcus stuff goes down. But I think part of me is sports thing kind of goes no wonder that get another one make it happen. This guy Texan Bernie Texan you're describe my thoughts on Stockton to Retief. Boring. Always reliable you didn't fully appreciate him in Utah. May be appreciated Karl Malone more in Utah do you John Stockton but. He was one of the best point guards. I think you're talking about true fundamental point guards like what you do a deposition which essentially saying Magic Johnson excluded. I don't think there's anyone better than John Stockton may be Steve Nash you determine my conversation with Steve Nash complete defects. That's true I would take Jason Kidd over Steve Nash. Interesting whom you sort of talk and talk to Vorbis selfish player yeah I'm talking about like that the textbook. Call it a point or put ice but I see your point I know what you mean arm is speaking of speaking of all time greats is a couple all time great set of being kind of shunned from the ultimate prize in your retirement that might actually not be shown. For too much longer Mike and I are actually going to talk baseball but first here's my sports. Scored 37 a primetime here is Mike can I fill in for the boys as they are on vacation. Hugest if you just joyous and have no idea who I am Mike and I host based socialist is from 79 called hot climate in deed. It's we just finished our second year of doing now the baseball should have fun little doozy there and in the offseason the show's still rumbles on although I believe we have bowl games. Clog this up the next couple weeks installed invitational yep will be back for Virginia or so will we back to the first week in January of and we talked baseball during the season and then when he comes the offseason we took a little baseball on the restart try to throw some other stuff in their. But an interesting topic today in the world the baseball in my can I kind of have been talking to each other a little bit but we didn't realize really how much steam this is gaining. A lot of writers on Twitter if you follow them on Twitter. That's like Muster only Ken Rosenthal Charlie came in all those coming as reporters writers all that stuff a lot of them show their hall of fame ballots every year. And something I've been kind of keeping track on this because even though I'm not a murder fan who do you think Edgar marching issue in the hall of fame so I've been watching these. These pictures these strange shots they're posting of their votes in seeing a grown a lot of them don't think it myself well. He's actually gaining some steam maybe this is the time he gets it. Then Mike points out to me. In Wilson is being checked knicks then. Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens and you're right Mike and. I'm not kidding every doubt that I've seen him which is not a bunch but the people I follow on Twitter all the ballots that I've seen. Have had both bonds and Clemens and some of the other. Accused of taking steroids guys most of them checked off as getting into the hall of fame Tom. Which I was actually quite surprised by because we've seen the numbers for those guys. We've seen how low they are they're in declining yes they've been declining but this year and I guess a small samples so solid we know. What Joe Schmo in random town in Pennsylvania's voting for the as a vote who's part of baseball writers' association we don't know who he's voting for we don't know if he's. Never ever voting for Sarah diaries one of those is not going for anybody who played in that era which we've seen too which is insane but we've seen Matt. But in general I certainly see more and I am seeing those guys get checked out to get into the hall of fame and I'm. I am very very curious as to why why all of a sudden has the shift happened where an hour gun while look. It happened know what happened. We all Barry Bonds is a person. At all equity due to noise Roger Clemens is the person. It was if you never tested positive we know what happened no that's fading too well what happened but he's good he was good it was great. Yeah I would say I've seen because I follow I you know I don't know how much you do Mike on yours but I follow a lot of baseball guys in the I'm kinda lucky that I've probably seen 25. Brady thirty votes. I mean I believe the final numbers like 280 something that I'm probably totally wrong on that but I know it's way larger than that. And that's one of the string Shenzhen scene I've seen pudge Rodriguez so maybe half of those who. Arm and then I'm seemed weird things like no Trevor Hoffman on a lot of them. And I mean easily at the second most saves in the history of baseball so that was kind of strange to me my thing is I'm excuse me when it comes to. Seeing a lot of the Berrian Roger votes. I think the climate is kind of changing. In the sense of if we really want this place to be. A hall of fame that talks about the greatest players of all time were gonna have to put in. The bonds and the Clemens otherwise we're gonna have to put in the Tim Raines and the Jeff Bagwell is of the world will not bad well but. Alan Trammell of the world who are really hall of fame players but all they did it claim they did at the right way. IA. Kind of feel myself personally shifting with this two where. I don't know I was adamant when I was very much like yeah I don't think the steroids taker should be in the hall of fame. But they did was against the rules of the game it was morally wrong. He cheated you know those are my thoughts like I was but a pretty strongly about that but over the last awareness image a year or two. Maybe it's just in the past so I've I'm starting to forget. Or maybe I'm just softening as I get older and it's going further for their way in the past. I'd just like you know what. Before the steroids Barry Bonds is still one of the greatest players in baseball moot insurer he. Cheated ensure he had to have size of the and three quarters in a church he'd be way too many home runs in the same thing of Roger Clemens. Those guys would have been great either way now when you look at a guy like. I don't know maybe Jeff Bagwell although again there's not really much tied to him but we just assume based on just how Jackie was. A lowly satin is batting stands back Tom. We're we're not sure of without steroids how good they would have been if he gets in there are a lot of guys but. For the guys that you know were leaked no matter what I'm starting to soften my stance on and Disco. If you wanna make a special wing man has an asterisk on it if you wanna do something else like that I don't really care but just go in because they are worth that the market. Yeah I think that's the amazing point is are we removed enough from that takes a fan takes on a 55 through five if you go to vote. Are we past. The backlash of the steroid era and are we on to the point where it's like OK let's just put these guys in will lead to that next year listen to prime time on 1089. Chicken soup golf insanity okay. It's. Sort 48 year old prime time. As he weighing down the second hour of the show. Starting with Mike and I do to baseball show we rarely talk about steroid guys in the hall of fame because we feel it's a dead topic but you guys got some old opinions. Well not a dead topic but. It didn't always happen yup so when you're doing a baseball several weeks you don't wanna bring up the same stuff all the time right. But this this just truck stuck out just because. Everybody is what we're. It looks like enemy yet you see you mentioned earlier it you who knows about the random days in early college football reporters that somehow haven't have a hall of fame vote. But before we give back into this and Mike's got a great text from big John who is a frequent guest on our show before you that I'm just gonna set something straight. Okay yes Pete Rose is there's you know hall of fame yes this is a fact he's one of the greatest players of all time one of the greatest leadoff hitters of all time. And he is crime is less egregious to the sport then. Steroids however. Look at your history since the black Sox scandal there's a sign in every locker room that says do not bet on baseball in every single locker room and that is the golden rule and he broke it any lied and that's where you don't get in UK. That's it I'm sorry with yet but it's just not gonna happen. Now as far as the steroid stuff goes. It's more interesting about. How as history is pushing those guys in the past how we're starting to you care less you think it's because it's the past. I think so. This is how I feel personally in that I'm sure a lot of people out there or don't feel the same we are young some text understand no don't what do men don't overdo it. It's just. I almost feel like at first I was so angry about it I remember I was fairly young when the steroid stuff was happening at first I was love it right I was. Nine years old in 1998 when bonds and McGwire bonds McGwire and Sosa we're going out of back of four. I'm thirteen and I don't think we don't have the Internet like we do you know so we don't know that employers are and grow in all this junk I was love and it. But. Life out of it takes steroids I was still like a preteen are very early teen alcohol whatever you know that sucks they cheated located kick him out Italy generally care. Then I started to watch baseball and get older and can have more thoughts about sports and more thoughts about the game if it were really made me angry because. You know watching daily der Jeter growing up and not to say that he never did anything I really don't think he did but you never know that's on the you can always say is in MacIntyre are you really truly don't know who did and didn't you don't including guys that are in the hall of fame. I mean I would never accused let. You don't know about salary it didn't exactly don't know about Griffey you know I mean. I would never say he did anybody neither but you don't know you know you don't know but I lost those guys and I assumed they were clean right and I watched them and I prided. My phantom of them for the fact they do the right like. That kind of figure is my favorite player of all time grunt of Yankee fan I didn't matter if he was my favorite always and and he always will be. And I love Jeter I'll of guys like that and I'd include Chipper Jones a map to opt for some reason that this is the third dial I grew up watching that I loved a lot. Because of that I started to get really angry at the guys who cheated and obviously cheated and lied and lied and lied and from a congress and all that kind of stuff. So I got really mad about it in an alumnus you don't know they never get American in but now that's in the past and got a little bit older. We've seen it just keeps happening more and more guys are taking steroids more more guys getting caught and lying rhyme Ron. What's his face from there the Mets who got copilot three times in three years. My idea yet Henry and pandering. Me yeah every say is that I can never it. He he got caught three times she keeps seeing it. It's become a thing where I'm disliked. This is just what it is it's right every baseball player who wants to get that edge knows there's a way to do it testing is better. There's big punishment for a now but there is always a way to try to figure out how to do it. In the late forties late in the thirties 40s60s. It was a person who speed you know cocaine in the seventy's you know a lot of crazy stuff I like. This text they came across on the fan Tex and a 55 through five. I think we're just pass the part of holding the hall of came up to this high standard is just a museum that highlights the history of baseball so book all the greats and they're no matter their Indus what they're in discretion was. I think there's some validity to that. The problem is is that these guys make a lot of money by being hall of fame guys because Barry Bonds can't go Roger Clemens can't go talk to you. Can't have some sort of invite to a speech. And he'll get paid like ten grand or whatever but if he's hall of Famer Roger Clemens you're in pain like a hundred grant. You know it's like Al Gore can walk in and talk to you about. Climate change or every he's passionate about and he's gonna get a nice feat but because he's not former President Bill Clinton. Bill Clinton gets paid a million dollars to talk at places. That's what I think is the only difficult think something's coming across from the text. On the text line is wait till they're dead that's right things gonna happen with Pete Rose. But because he get in appeared on the ballot anymore I mean veterans committee. I can argue I guess that's true now I mean that that's how I think he'll gain in his that is really you know. I am OK with that you know will put these guys in the hall of fame did you think Barry Bonds is gonna go except his hall of fame plaque. With an asterisk next to it in new steroid waiting. He's got to throw middle fingers in the air as they are out. Out here at this point he might be really like how desperate would you look though I think you're I think you'll look he really really sad if you were willing to accept. Even though you've never tested positive and you can't prove it at all never admitted. That there's no way these guys are going to be cool with a plaque that says. Linked to steroids are just some in the although. I just don't see that not guys like bonds and Clemens who were so rotor denying it forever yet images air give people to begin with. That's an interesting point to him. Maybe that's how I'll go maybe that's how it'll it'll be worth builders take awhile but. It's just becoming a person has become timid to deal. Maybe some people don't agree though John you know big John six brother texted me and should never forget never saw him he cheated keep him out. The fact they were briefed before Roy's makes it even worse I agree I perspective and a lot of people does that you hear that argument all the time well if but you know before bonds went to savers is too you'd been a hall of Famer anyway and my response that is yes so why you do and it. Has your man that you won 3M VPs in a row and everybody wants watch McGwire and Sosa that's you problem amigo. Not me that's because he had a complex and many to be the best ever of all time. And the only way to do that in his mind was to cheat and take steroids. Gasoline just I don't and we kept police officer allegedly or can we just say he took steroids. Because technically you are tested positive he did needed to be neither did I or ten days except for he's mature or Alex Rodriguez never tested positive. Didn't pick us up and erupted once era never has always on the Mitchell report yet but he never says deposit. Sure about the outcome positive man like the 20091 no duty a bus to from buy OG bio Genesis Kos would say biology and doses and that's a planet in Star Wars might as the bio. Gee you know all hours heard that your dad chancellor clone wars started. And in those terrible movies directly. But yet yet so I mean. I would still say allegedly. I mean just hard air quotes it's like being like the biggest seat and let. I think though on all I think going to be OK I think. I would love it but I wouldn't sit there raging that they let them into the hall of fame a village you know work I think we Janet I understand I think I'm with you know all ended on this. I would rather the steroid deeds go in if it meant players that are hall of fame worthy were getting it. Like Tim Raines is not a hall of Famer but I feel like they wanna put him in the hall of fame because he didn't sheet and he was good guy and his stats are above average. Well one thing with a baseball in the hall famine only got a break but one thing about famous. Dave. There are a little bit more forgiving in terms of who gets and in some cases where there's guys who get in your like well I guess he's a hall of Famer shirt. And there's always those conversations like. Was my BC is on the ballot and are right now was like love mood disorder on. My BC's Bob hall of fame why nobody loves to watch right but that's people deeper vote for him right because they think may well do you like to music good player but and he's a hall of Famer. Yeah why Guerrero hall of Famer that's a really tough question that's a great one I think Vlad is but he's not an elite player who writes in the hall of Famer. So I think he is spending and get some question marks about that I think people are running for Trevor Hoffman this year. Because they're looking at him saying I have many years to overturn property until hall of fame. I need to use my votes on XYZ who have one or two years like two I think deserve to be America took totals to game that they play to. Really got to they have years to do it's often not first ballot. OK well we'll get a 1000003 or four years to work. Yeah I'm waiting for next year in the hall of fame ballots going to be Trevor Hoffman chipper Jones and Jim Thome. You don't not this coming year but the next I still must serve to home is going to be first about 600 plus home runs as a do or injuries were harmful.
